Try as we might, we’ll never be able to replicate the beauty and holiness of words found throughout the Bible. So it’s only natural you’d want to use scripture to highlight a ministry appreciation ceremony. While it may seem like honoring a pastor with scripture is the most obvious choice, bible verses can be expertly applied to folks in children’s ministry, music ministry and more. Here are a few biblical examples from Open Bible:
Galatians 6:6
One who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches.
1 Corinthians 9:14
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
Philippians 1:7-11
It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
